I bought something very similar to that. The design is the same but the holes are a little different. The bottom is one large hole, which is good since the USB cable can be plugged. I have a case like the one you linked nad it's a little difficult. Also the one you linked is from Hong Kong so it's a mighty long wait :/

Does anyone else have the issue with time machine where it has to redo your backup? This is the second time I've had to recreate my back up on my time capsule after receiving this error message.
http://km.support.apple.com/library/APPLE/APPLECARE_ALLGEOS/HT4076/HT4076_01----en.png
Anyone know anything that can help? These backups can take more than a day to complete and I'm worried about the reliability of the time capsule.

I ordered mine the day after the hardware was announced and yesterday I was told by my online retailer that they would start shipping the first or second week in Oct. after a delay was announced by Apple. I dream of the man/woman in brown knocking at the door.

So i'm L&T some AVCHD footage and the transcoding is taking forever. Its been almost an hour and a half and i'm still on my first clip. Any ideas as to why it's taking so long. I've been doing this workflow since September and it has never been this slow.

Search eBay for "LaserWriter" and pick up an old Apple LaserWriter. The toner will last you longer than ink, and they are very dependable. Also, drivers will not be trouble since they install with the Mac OS. Toner cartridges are readily accessible on eBay for LaserWriters.

if you already have wired connections to the 2 remotes it should work with the linksys.
make sure you have the same SSID and security settings on all 3 routers, you have to pay attention, since the security terminology might be slightly different and you need to make sure it's the same setting even if it's a different name.
also make sure you have the expresses in bridge mode.
your device will automatically pick the strongest signal.
also you won't be able to "connect to the linksys" as you will pick your network name, and won't know which of the 3 bases you're connected to*.
*you can figure out which one you're connected to by option-clicking on the airport item in your menu bar and looking at the BSSID and comparing that mac address to your airports and linksys.
Unfortunately it doesn't work quite so seamlessly at the moment. I can tell when I'm connected to the Linksys, because on that router the network printing and AirPlay do not work for some reason. The settings are as identical as I can get them, but as you say the Linksys uses slightly different terminology so maybe they just won't work together.

Crucial is quite cheap: http://www.crucial.com/uk/mac/index.aspx 33.58 for the 4GB RAM from them if you buy the two 2GB modules separately.

You can probably get that to work, but you can't us Boot Camp Assistant to get you started. You will have to create a FAT32 partition in Disk Utility and then use that as a target for your Windows install.
Which versions of Windows are supported on your Mac will depend on which Mac it is so you may want to tell us.
The main difference between doing it this way and Boot Camp Assistant, is that BCA sets the default boot to the Windows partition, you will need to hold Alt/Option every time you boot when the Windows installer wants a reboot.
B
Okay yep I understand, however will my Mac recognise the install CD when I boot to the empty Windows partition?
Are you using VirtualBox? Or something else?
Not currently using anything to partition, just disk utility.

Thanks for the help. The home automation route seems the way to go. Now to find some iPhone/iPad integration apps that go along with them.

I have the following items for sale. Right now it's a package deal but I may be willing to part out the V-Moda earbuds and InMotion speakers for the right price.
I've done the best I could with photos.
iPod Video 60 GB. Condition 8+
The back has little hairline scratches, it's been in a case the whole time but as you know the Agent 18 cases allow dirt to collect underneath and so there are signs of scratching. Apple said iKlear may clean up some of the scratches. I'll let the buyer do the cleaning. You can see the front has a protective cover, that is what shipped with the iPod, I just never took it off.
The iPod will be wiped, please don't anticipate any music to be on the iPod.
It comes with the following:

Why not have a little box next to previously viewed thread showing you how many new posts have been made since you last viewed the thread? Clicking on the box would then get you to the thread, starting from the oldest unread post.
This is a pretty important feature. Quite so often when I use the User CP to check on subscribed threads, I have to hunt for my last post in threads.
A little preview of what it looks like, taken from another forum that uses this:

Anyone have any ideas on fixing this?
JB seemed to work fine, Cydia fine, Appsync 4.x installed from hackulo.us. Deleted, reinstalled, tried reboots - nothing syncing. Tried the one from Sinful as well. No diff. iTunes won't sync apps with the x8008001 error. iPad 1 / iOS 4.3.2. JB via redsn0w.

I know Samsung LCDs are great. My friend bought a 15 or 17" Samsung a little while back and hasn't had a single problem. I've been considering buying the 19" LCD (910T), but I gotta see how much I have after selling my TiBook and buy a G5.

Hi
I've had my late 2006 iMac for five years now and have had very few problems with it over the years - I had the LCD panel replaced by Apple last year due to a known issue and that's it.
I use the iMac overnight to play audiobooks, and this morning I noticed I couldn't hear it burbling away when I woke up. It appeared to have switched itself off overnight, but then it wouldn't start up again. Nothing was happening at all - I checked all the cabling, including trying different power sockets and trying the mac's power lead in another bit of kit and vice versa - nothing at all.
I got the service manual online and managed to get the bezel off to check the diagnostic LEDs. All appeared dead at first, which indicated that it needs a new power supply which is what I figured from the start.
I read somewhere that removing and reinserting the battery can fix such problems, and since I tried this, diagnostic LED number 1 (indicating that the power supply is getting good power from the AC outlet according to the manual) now briefly flashes on at the point where the power cable is plugged into the mains, but then goes off again. Nothing still happens when the power button is pressed.
Has anyone got any ideas on this? The manual is clear on the issue if the light doesn't come on at all, but I can't find mention anywhere about it coming on briefly.
Many thanks! :D

- Go to the Applications folder and select iTunes
- Right click > Show Package Contents
- Open 'Contents'
- Open 'Resources'
- Find iTunes helper
- Open System Preferences and go to Accounts > select your account > Login Items
- Drag iTunes Helper from Finder to this list
Done.
Heheh, I made the same mistake as you. Trying to decipher to OP's first post, I didn't realize he mentioned that he deleted iTunesHelper from the iTunes app as well, hence my removed post. :P

i guess thats your problem ---->rEFIt which needs to be installed when using linux via bootcamp and it alters the EFI and the MBR , so by just removing the linux partition you caused a bit of a chaos
removing rEFIt might sort your problem now if you are lucky ..but i doubt that
http://refit.sourceforge.net/doc/c1s3_remove.html
if unlucky a clean install of OSX and windows7 might be your only option and then just use your backups ,timemachine and whatever you used to backup windows..
Well, thats sounds bad, but i can boot MBp into mac, n it runs fine, its jst windows is not booting up.
So, is there no way i can get my windows back?

I would want to see the "PowerMac" camelcase form be avoided. Apple do seem to avoid this in external docs, and when they use it internally its meaning seems to have settled on any PPC desktop Mac, including iMacs. For that generic case, "PowerPC Mac" or similar should get the point across to normal people.
It would be nice to leave revision letters and code names out of "real" article titles too. (redirects with models' pet names, e.g. Yikes, to make linking from forums more convenient would be another story -- and of course mentioning them inside the pages would be fine!).
The reason I'm proposing this particular scheme is that many users of this resource will be here because they have problems that need solving. It will make life easier for them if we're on the same page as Apple.
----
Anyway, a scheme that would make sense to me is:
Power Mac == the generic term, anything that was originally sold as a "Power Macintosh" or "Power Mac"
iMac, PowerBook, etc. == those product lines.
PowerPC Mac == any Mac with a PowerPC inside.
Individual Power Mac product lines get the names they had when sold as new: Power Macintosh G3 (and older), Power Mac G4 (and newer).
Specific models get their public names, in the style used by Apple in AppleSpec (http://www.info.apple.com/support/applespec.html) and on their support pages. (True, we won't always know what those titles will be until after support docs start trickling out, but those will always be the latest models so the number of links to be touched up later will be smallish.)
