I don't see how Apple asking Toyota to take the theme down can be considered controlling or dominant by Apple? It's a question they could have said no. Unsurprisingly their relationship with Apple is more important than an ugly theme made with 30 minutes of Photoshop...

I think a major concern for Apple right now is the possibility they may have NO products to sell by July 2011 for many of their product lines due to the lack of parts coming from Japan. I wouldn't be surprised that Apple may have to aim for a November 2011 simultaneous launch of the iPhone 5, 5G iPod touch and 7G iPod nano so they can assure themselves of supplies of the right parts from manufacturers in South Korea and China for Foxconn.

i assume that there are no changes to the map, so we have to go back.
there won't be trasures, but there could be new traps, so we still hqve to search the rooms again
however , we should split in a group of 5 and a single hero.
we travel together but semi-shifted: the single explores, the 5 move to the next room (in case monstera are there). by rolling like that, we basically earn a turn every two. the single one rolling behind is safe because he will not face any monster, i think it should be rosius who has unique powers ( or so he claims ;)). the drawback would be that he wouldn't participate in any new treasure but we already searched for that.

I always have to laugh at things like this. It's akin to people complaining about having to pay $50 for 12 months of Xbox Live.
$99 a year is a pittance for MoblieMe; break that down over 12 months and it's roughly $8 a month. I don't know about the rest of you, but I know that I easily blow $8 a week on things I don't even remember from week-to-week, let alone setting $8 a month to the side.
It's the human way. We all know we waste money on other things. I have my sports websites that I often pay about $10 to keep up on current events. Being a working class bloke means that a certain amount of disposable income comes with the territory.
Everyone's needs are so different. If you have one device MobileMe isn't going to make much sense. If you have a couple of Macs, an iPod Touch, and iPhone or iPad then suddenly without MobileMe you're relying on web based tools (and the weakness they come with) or your spending a lot of redundant effort in data entry.
For me I'm at a point where I try to get things organized. My Safari bookmarks scream "Obsessive Compulsive Disorder" though I'm not an OCD person in every facet of my life. What this means in the context of MobileMe is that I can be out and get notified of of an interesting web address. I add it to my phone and voila before I get home the bookmark is on my Mac where it should be.

No thanks. The dual core is sweet, but have to wonder how the battery life will go down. I am not to excited about the next gen the more I read about how little battery life 4G phones and Dual Core phones are doing. :eek:

I'd love to see a three tier release. 3gs at the budget end, iPhone 4 in the midrange and the 5 at the top end.
Looking forward to whatever enhancements Apple bring with it.
I don't see that happening. Apple tends to avoid complicated product lines. That is one too many options in my opinion.

I think it would be quieter. Considering, the processors will run cooler and less cooling power is needed. So the fans may be relatively muted.

Apple, arguably the greatest and most customer-centric company with the world's best smart phone, the best OS and magical appliances (at least, that is what I'm being told here over and over again) collects location data without your prior knowledge or consent. If you become a member of MacRumors it is your own, deliberate, decision. But I already can see where this is going. Cue the drone-like Apple defenders, I hear them coming ;)

I guess I can see Apple's point. But, aren't all tablets going to have a similar style and interface? It would seem like there can be only marginal differences in a touch screen interface.
Not really. Google is actually pretty different from iOS. It's Samsung who chose to edit the interface and all those icons to look like iPhone. That's why Apple is going straight after Samsung. Android OS has some similarities but overall they are pretty different.

iPhone 1: Apple never gave the first gen a number because that is just weird given the first one a number. Its not called fast and the furious 1.
iPhone 2: Apple needed to make sure that its customer base knew that this phone was 3g so they adopted the name Iphone 3g. Imagine saying Iphone 2 with 3g. Most customers would have ignored the end and not known about the 3g's importance.
iPhone 3: Apple had could have named it the 3 but then many of its customers not being tech savy in the least way would scream bloody murder they took off the 3g.
iPhone 4: Apple had a good chance now to begin to use the naming system. It proved to be a good chance to name it the iPhone 4. With the Evo 4g being released at the same time naming it the 4 made customers believe it too was a 4g (cough) Phone. Believe it or not about 1/2 of iPhone 4 owners believe they have a 4g phone.

1 - This is nothing new, and Apple is just being honest...the PB 12 and 15 were famous leg toasters as well...the times of the cool G3 are over long ago.
2 - it's at least 3 hours...no similar PC notebook does that...and the G4 wasnt better either.

Well this depends upon which G4 PB you compare it to.
I have the last PB G4 revision 17 inch. It runs comforably cool and I easily get 5+ hours of battery life under normal use. I don't even use the power saving functions. I usually run my display brightness about 3/4 of the way up.
I play DVD movies quite often and I can play two back to back 2 hour movies before my batteries need recharging.

Maybe they will move to at least 2x 2.5" drive slots for SSDs(or laptop hard disk drives if you want) with another 2x 3.5" for traditional storage.
In any event, I'd expect to see 2.5" drive slots somewhere in a new designed mac pro.
